SPIRIT POWER is the subject of this Trail of Painted Ponies ornament. To Native American's "Spirit Power" is analogous to "a fetish" - thus, the name of this Pony ornament. The artist, Lynn Bean, from Oregon created the fetish pony. It encaptures spirit images that seem to emerge from the inside of the horse. If you want to wish someone, Good Luck, this might be the horse for you.

Indians believes that when an object is treated with respect, the spirt can reside within....over time this spirt can bring the owner Good Luck, Good Health and a harmonious life. Only an extraordinary artist could translate the "spirit power" and have it emerge on the horse so well. Awesome idea. Very well executed.

Westland Giftware manufactured Fetish Pony Ornament. It was introduced in 2006 and retired in 2009. This pony ornament has been in a box in a storage room, unopened, for years.
