Our Humble Beginnings - WALL STREET GIFTS is owned  and founded by a woman and combines two careers for Gloria LeBlanc. After graduating from the University of Washington, Gloria had a career as a buyer at The Bon Marche (now Macy's), now closed.  Having twins sidetracked her retail career—a career that she had loved. Her career as a stockbroker began with a major brokerage firm. It evolved to her own office in Los Gatos, CA (Silicon Valley). In order to have Los Gatos Securities downtown, she had to have retail. Wall Street Gifts was born to meet this zoning requirement.  In 1995 three glass shelves in the front window were filled with 12 products that had something to do with Wall Street. 

In 1996 Wall Street Gifts was launched on the Internet. www.wallstreetgifts.com Thus, Gloria intertwined her money management skills with her love of buying. The story of how the web store happened is interesting. She had a high school boy work after school entering data. Remember this is 1996 – no downloads then. One Monday Paul said to her “Why don’t you sell these things on the Internet?” (pointing to the 3 glass shelves). She said “How would I do that?” He said “I can build the web site for you” She said “I didn’t know you knew how to build a web site.” He said “Oh, yeah, I created a web site for myself over the weekend.” She said “How much?” He said “$100” She said “Go for it.” So, Wall Street Gifts became an Internet business with 8 products – high school boy with experience of creating one web site for $100. How’s that for a beginning?

This was 1996 – no email – no shopping cart. Customers had to print off the order form and fax it to us. Since then our web site has been revised many times as the Internet continues to evolve. Some products sold now – were sold in the very beginning – like the brass bull and bear marble bookends.

Later other web sites were created. COWS COWS COWS, PONY PONY PONY, BANKS BANKS BANKS, BULLS BULLS BULLS, GLOBES GLOBES GLOBES, INSPIRE MOTIVATE, LOYAL FANS AND ALUMS, GAMES AND POKER, EAGLES EAGLES EAGLES. In 2015 we combined all sites into Wall Street Gifts. All credit card charges appear as Wall Street Gifts.

We are a New Hampshire LLC - a state that does not charge SALES TAX. That will save some customers 10%.

We like Happy Customers :-) and do everything possible to achieve that goal. The rule we abide by is to treat our customers as we would like to be treated. Each customer is very special to us. Without you we would not be successful for close to 30 years!

Want to hear some customer stories? We have 28 years of them! Over a decade ago we got a phone call with the question - "Want a really big order?" Fast forward Wall Street Gifts got a $250,000 order from one of the major Wall Street brokerage firms.  Gloria worked with the manufacturer and was able to have the product personalized with a logo and slogan. An item that is normally NOT personalized. Anyway a decade later, we still see or hear of this product proudly displayed in broker's offices....and it's been over twenty years!

Our cheapest order was from someone who ONLY paid for gift wrap! $4.95. We've since edited the site so that can't happen again!

Our PAINTED piggy banks  have been on the Today Show. and in many ads. Parent Magazine bought. Our piggy bank was shown at many ATM machines. The military honors us with many orders from the Pentagon, Navy, Army, Coast Guard, Air Force. We've even delivered to ships at sea! Our red piggy bank has been in the Marriott catalog. We've sold purple pigs to Alzheimers. No one in the world offers 80, yes 80, colors of pigs. Pretty awesome.

We've sold Motivational gifts to interesting customers. Bacardi Rum, audit  group for bankruptcy firm, gifts for college graduates plus many more.

Our horses have sold to rodeos, racing events, cowboy hall of fame and lots of horse lovers.

Too many....you'll get bored reading all of this!!! E-Commerce is fun - you never know where the next customer will come from. We've shipped to 52 countries. But, seldom ship overseas now due to high shipping costs.

Our most recent WallStreetGifts.com web site was designed for the IPhone (etc). With 70% of our customers entering Wall Street Gifts via mobile...it needed to be done. Technology evolves and we take advantage of it. We are lauching a new revised web site in June 2024.
