Iwo Jima Statue - 4 men raising America Flag

The Battle of Iwo Jima fought between United States and Japan occured between Feb 19 and March 26, 1945. Six marines raised the flag. Their names: Harlon Block, Michael Strank, Ira Hayes, Franklin Sousley, Rene Gagnon, and Navy Corpsman John Bradley. The flag was placed on top of Mount Suribachi. Unfortunately, Harlon Block, Michael Strank, and Franklin Sousley were killed before the battle for Iwo Jima was over. Whereas Ira Hayes, Rene Gagnon, and Navy Corpsman John Bradley became famous celebrities in the US.

This Iwo Jima statue salutes this well remembered event in World War II. Patriotism always feels good. The statue is made of hand polished bronze. At 15 inches high, it's a good size. You can memorialize this epic day during WWII.
