Agree? Cardinal Couple

The brillant red male Cardinal is one of our prettiest birds. The drab female Cardinal is definitely a contrast. The two appear to be communicating. Bob, our photographer, has framed this photo to tell a story. He creates a story with each of his photos. That's why he has received so many awards for his wildlife photos. It's large too measuring 16 x 20". There's even a larger size of wall measuring 20 x 30".

Cardinals symbolize love, loyalty and are embraced as spiritual messengers from the spirit world. The Catholic Church even has cardinals who dress in red! Interesting the average speed that a cardinal flies is 25 mph.

An alligator up close and personal. This large 20 x 16" exclusive photo by our wonderful photographer shows such an alligator. Also available, 30 x 20" XL photo.

First, check out those teeth. When an alligator loses a tooth, it replaces the lost tooth with a new one. Check out the skin. The skin in front of the eyes is relatively smooth. The skin under the jaw is quite different. You can see how it could expand when eating large items. The eyes are focused.

How old would you guess it is? In the wild, alligators can live 50 years! This alligator has certainly experienced life.

Great horned owls have a wingspan of approximately  4-1/2 feet and weigh about three pounds. It resides throughout the continental United States and Alaska. Its range extends into Mexico, Central America, and South America.

We call this our "fighting" bull clock, since he seems to be in a very aggressive mode! He looks lean and mean, doesn't he?

Before laying eggs, these clever birds scatter animal dung all about the entrance to their subterranean burrows; the result? Their version of food delivery; troops of dung beetles and other insects come marching, which the owls then catch and eat without ever leaving home. With its big, black eyes, the Barred Owl can be found in forested areas even in cities. If in the woods, you hear "who cooks for you, who cooks for you all?" you're actually hearing the Barred Owl. If you hear manical laughing, could be two Barred Owls in a courtship duet. 

There was a young woman walking down a deserted beach just before dawn. In the distance, she saw a frail old woman. As she approached the old woman, she saw her picking up stranded starfish and throwing them back into the sea. The young woman gazed in wonder as the old woman again and again threw the small starfish from the sand to the water. 

She asked, "Old woman, why do you spend so much energy doing what seems to be a waste of time?" The old woman explained that the stranded starfish would die if left in the morning sun. "But there must be thousands of beaches and millions of starfish!" exclaimed the young woman.

The old woman looked down at the small starfish in her hand and as she threw it to the safety of the sea, she said,"I make a difference to this one."

Parents - How well do your children listen to you? Our photographer captured this moment between a parent and child communicating. Yes, they are red foxes. The young fox seems to be pleading. The adult fox seems to be rigid. You can create your own story for this photo. Bob is incredible photographing moments like this. Two sizes of photo. Large is 16 x 20" and XL is 20 x 30".

The red fox is intelligent and loyal to its mate and pups. The female has between 1 and 12 pups. No wonder the adult fox has such a look in this photo! In the wild their lifespan is only 3-4 years.
