Mother & Baby Hedgehog Statue

The hedgehog is a nocturnal mammal identified by the 5,000 to 7,000 stiff, keratin spines that cover its back and sides. For defense the hedgehog can curl into a ball so all that shows are these spines.

Although none of us were living when the dinosaurs roamed the land - how, about 150 or so million years ago!, Today we remain entranced by them. Special animals for a special time. Imagine an animal that was 70 or so feet long, weighed around 20 TONS (not lbs) and lived to be about 100 years old.

A bobcat is the smallest cat in the lynx family. It's territory is southern Canada to northern Mexico. It resides in a den it makes. The bobcat is a solitary animal that seldom runs in packs.
