This lion bust reminds me of the head of the lions that are seen outside many libraries across the USA.

This male lion has a gorgeous mane. It is thought the mane protects the neck of the lion when he's fighting. We do know that the size and coloration of the mane helps both females and males to access the male's fitness.

One of the most realistic lion statues we have. It is made of resin and has been hand painted with the finest detail. 

The male lion is strutting. Gorgeous mane, with the various colors showing his maturity. His tail is raised. You can even see the dark spots on his chin where his whiskers grow.

Looking very confident this male lion is probably circling "his" territory - to make certain no other male intrudes. As the male is on boundary patrol, the females will be catching him dinner.

Did you know that baby lions are born blind? Their eyes are closed. The eyes do not open for 2-3 weeks. The lioness creates a "nest" to give birth, away from the pride. She does not introduce her babies to the pride under they are 3 months old.

In this statue the baby is tucked next to the mom as they walk together.

Do you know what the spots on a leopard are called? They're called “rosettes” because their shape is similar to that of a rose. 

Leopards have distinctive calls. When a male wants to make another leopard aware of his presence, he’ll make a hoarse, raspy cough. They will growl when angry and, like domestic cats, purr when happy and relaxed.
