Longhorn Bull Statue -10 inches

The longhorn bull is known for its long, thick horns that can span over 8 feet from tip to tip. Our statue certainly depicts that length well! The history of the Texas Longhorn connects with the Spanish colonization of the Americas (way back to the late 1400's). The University of Texas at Austin has the Texas Longhorn as its mascot. BeVo. Current Bevo is their 6th.

After the time of large buffalo herds and the Plains Indians, Texas cattle spread northward to the open range and free grass on the Great Plains. Texas longhorns, accompanied by Texas cowboys, stocked most of the new ranches. It's interesting how the longhorn has had a major effect on our history.

Our Longhorn statue has its own interesting story. Carved by hand in Mexico following centuries of experience, no two of these bulls are exactly the same. Please read The Ironwood Story to learn much more.

There is no base, so personalization not possible.

An Octupus has eight legs and this figurine has eight legs - but, you "feel" as if there are legs everywhere! All going differently with no syncronization. This is a large octopus measuring practically 11 inches both height and length. It has a metallic finish.

The statue is made of resin and then hand painted. The essence of what an octopus is has been captured here. Very realistic.

Did you know that octopuses don't have bones? If one of their tentacles (arms) are damaged or removed, it will regrow a new tentacle or fix the damage immediately.

This statue illustrates the interesting connection between a wolf and the Native American people. One can assume the blue background of the wolf represents the sky. The Handprint is a common symbol used. It represents success in hand to hand combat.

Over the foreleg is an Indian Chief with a headgear of feathers. The statue is made of resin and has been hand painted with the various symbols of the Native American.

Wolves figure prominently in the mythology of nearly every Native American tribe. In most Native cultures, the Wolf is associated with courage, strength, loyalty, and success at hunting.

Sweetness - an unusal pose for a wolf. This mother and baby wolf seem to have a strong bond. They seem to be communicating with each other. The statue is made of resin and has been hand painted. The expressions on the baby and mother are quite revealing.

Did you know that when a baby wolf is born it only weighs 1 lb? A mature male might be 110 lbs. Need to eat a lot to make that happen!

Want to help? Is it a Bald Eagle or is it an Osprey? Or, something else. The manufacturer says its a Bald Eagle. Yes, a Bald Eagle gets a white head when it is 4-5 years old. But the Bald Eagle has bright yellow beak and talons. This statue does not. The tail of a Bald Eagle is pure white...this tail is brown and rows of different shades.

Perhaps, you purchase this statue and run a contest - what is it?

Perhaps, it is a bird not seen in the USA. We do have an Eagle Owl statue that is not a USA bird.

If you have an idea of which bird this is - please email us at

Great skin! Yes, the sculptor of this rhino statue did a great job with the skin. Looks so realistic.

The two horns are good too. Besides their size, rhinoceros have good defense with those large horns. Their diet is grass and leaves which proves being a vegetarian doesn't make you skinney...takes a little more than that.

Did you know that a rhino has poor vision and depends on smell? By smelling poo and urine, the rhino can tell which rhinos are in the area. Sounds weird.

A beautiful gold color....this elephant statue is quite elegant. It's trunk is raised in the standard elephant pose of luck. Thus, we have named this the Lucky Golden Elephant.

And the elephant is BIG. Practically 15 inches high. If you want luck, perhaps, you need this golden elephant.

Made of resin and hand painted. Weight of elephant is 3 lbs.

Did you know that elephants can communicate long distances by foot stomping which create a low-frequency rumble that generates seismic waves in the ground that can travel nearly 20 miles? The sensitive skin in an elephant’s trunk and feet helps them to pick up the message.
