  • The Amazing Big Horn
    $229.95

The Big Horn Sheep is a very destinctive animal with their magnificent curled horns. A pair of horns may weigh up to 30 lb. It originally crossed to North America over the land bridge from Siberia. It seens unbelievable that America had millions of these beautiful animals. However, by 1900, diseases had caused the population to drop to just several thousand.

What's happening in USA? Utah had 1,000 Big Horn in 1975. Now over 50 years later Utah has 5,500. Thank YOU Utah.

What did God do to allow the Big Horn Sheep to live on the high ledges of rocky mountains? It's intereting. 1st the Big Horn legs are shorter than other species. 2nd the sole of the Big Horn foot is split and the bottom of the sole is rough. This makes it easier for the Big Horn to grip and provide better balance.

We offer a group of 3. One bust and two sizes of the sheep itself. Between its history, the horns themselves this group can be a real conversation starter. All are hand-carved.
