Eagle Statues

This bald eagle is very focused on its prey with its talons extended and eyes ablaze. Bob, the photographer is a recognized international wildlife photographer. He doesn't just snap a picture, he constructs a story within the photo. That's what makes each of our exclusive photos so wonderful. Each is telling a different story. After becoming an Endangered Bird in 1967 due to DDT, a lot of effort to save our national symbol allowed the bald eagle to re-populate and was removed from the endangered list 40 years later in 2007.

A couple of fun facts about bald eagles. #1 They are one of a very few birds that can fly as high as 10,000 feet! #2 Their eyesight is 8x better than ours!

An Upside Down Bald Eagle!!!

As a lifelong birder I have seen many bald eagles....however, only ONCE have I seen an eagle turn over and fly upside down! It's an amazing sight. Our photographer was lucky to also see a bald eagle turn over while flying and this photo is the result. Imagine the eagle with a possible wingspan of 6 FEET accomplishing this activity in air.

Eagles do have "eagle eyes." They can see four to five times better than humans. This vision allows them to see small prey like rabbits as far as two miles away.

Bald Eagle, symbol of freedom for America.

The Founding Fathers chose the bald eagle as the emblem of the nation in 1782. Bald Eagle can be fierce and is fairly independent. It aptly symbolizes the strength and freedom of United States of America.

The photo shows a bald eagle in Florida. The eagle is perched in a tree. You can see the comparison of the white and dark feathers. The huge yelllow beak, the yellow talons that are so strong. The eyes that see so much better than a human's eye. Photo shows it all. You have a choice of 2 sizes of the photo. 16 x 20" or 20 x 30".

Pewter Eagle measures 11-1/2 inches, so a medium size statue. The sculptor captured some good action as this eagle appears to be on the hunt. Eagles do have to eat whether it be fish or small animals. With the pose of this Eagle, wonder what it will be eating? The core of the statue is resin and has been electroplated with pewter for a lasting finish. The wooden base is only 3-1/2 inches wide which limits the size of a plaque to 3 inch. Bald Eagles have two babies! One baby born November 20. Photo taken one day later. There were TWO!!

Our incredible wildlife photographer just took this photo of a Mom and Dad Bald Eagle with their two Eaglets! Babies look so soft and fuzzy. How wonderful Nature is!

Bald Eagles mate for life. However, if one dies, the remaining eagle will get a new mate.
