The Founding Fathers chose the bald eagle as the emblem of the nation in 1782. Bald Eagle can be fierce and is fairly independent. It aptly symbolizes the strength and freedom of United States of America.

The photo shows a bald eagle in Florida. The eagle is perched in a tree. You can see the comparison of the white and dark feathers. The huge yelllow beak, the yellow talons that are so strong. This smaller eagle statue is quite similar to EJY1130. Big difference in size. This eagle is 8 inches vs the larger version at 15".

Pose is slightly different. Wings are also slightly different. Eagle has a resin base with a bronze finish.

Eagle Statue - Goal in Sight!

With wings extended and tail fanned, this bronze eagle seems be focused and has its goal in sight! Since the core is made of resin, the sculptor was able to show individual feathers, hooked beak and wrinkled legs.

To the tip of the highest wing is 9 inches. The wooden base is circular and has a diameter of 3 inches. If you want to personalize, the largest plaque would be 1 inch x 5/8 inch.

This eagle head has a beak that looks quite dangerous. It is jagged and its primary use was stripping meat from a prey captured.

Interesting, an eagle doesn't carry prey in it's beak. It uses its talons to do that. They are 10 times stronger than average human.
