Who would have thought about using 22 kt gold for the tips of the horns of this ram? Thankfully the sculptor did. It's a beautiful combination. Crystal ram is created in the USA using hundred year old technique. Top quality. The ram is standing on its hind legs and front legs are bent. 

Did you know that rams have a split in their upper lip which enables them to pick preferred leaves off a plant?

The horns can be used in fighting but it is thought their primary purpose is to attact females. So, if you put 22 kt gold on a crystal ram's horns - are you attracted???

In general, dolphins make two kinds of sounds, “whistles” and “clicks”. Clicks are used in regard to their surroundings, while whistles are used to communicate among them. It is thought that each dolphin has a unique whistle called a ‘signature whistle’, which is used to identify an individual.

Over the years the United States has had over a thousand lighthouses of which 150 were in the State of Michigan. Lighthouses have served as a navigational aid for seamen for hundreds of years. At first fires were set on hilltops to guide ships; this led to fire-lit platforms, and eventually to the lighthouse. Lighted towers were used to mark entrances for ships and help ships avoid rocks. Today we have GPS but some lighthouses continue to survive.

Did you know that some Mallards migrate? Migrating mallards have been clocked flying at 55 miles per hour, faster than the average waterfowl. They ususally crew around 10,000 feet but can go higher. Once a mallard was struck by a commercial airliner at 21,000 feet!

The male mallard has the beautiful emerald green head while the female is quite muted with shades of brown. Males mate with as many females as they can.

The Northern Pintail Duck is a favorite. With a population around 5.5 million birds, it is also one of the most common ducks in the United States. When flying, you see the long middle feathers of the tail, thus identifying the species and providing the reason for the duck's name.

The Pin Tail Duck statue is made of bronze and was created in the USA. It's definitely an original design. Since the Pin Tail frequently lives in marshes, the sculptor has created a couple of reeds where the pintail is going to land. The long middle tail feathers are present, the web feet, and the lowered wings. Feathers are depicted. A lot of thought occurred when this sculpture was created.

Did you know that sharks don't have bones?

Have you seen a fish like this when you've scubed? The body of this fish is dark with red lines running through it. The fins are a pale gold color. Handcrafted piece by piece, the mix of glass colors is the same but the result can be slightly different. Looking like Murano glass the fish is elegant.
